Overview:
Going Forward Project was founded with a mission to offer second chances to deserving individuals and families experiencing homelessness. By transforming vacant warehouses into safe, sustainable communities, we help residents regain their dignity, develop critical skills, and find a path back to self-sufficiency.
Our Story:
With over 40 years of experience in datacenter construction, I Scott J. Arnold have applied my knowledge of building efficient, cost-effective structures to create housing for those in need. After decades of delivering below-budget projects and reducing monthly expenses by 30%, I saw an opportunity to use these skills to create something transformative. Thus, the Going Forward Project was born, turning unused warehouse space into vibrant communities where people can rebuild their lives.
Our Vision:
Our goal is to create self-sustaining tiny home communities across the country, giving individuals and families the tools and support they need to reintegrate into the mainstream population and workforce.
How It Works:
The Going Forward Project transforms vacant warehouse spaces into tiny home communities for homeless families and individuals. Each community includes at least 100 fully equipped homes, offering residents a safe, affordable place to live as they regain their footing.

How It Works:
The Going Forward Project transforms vacant warehouse spaces into tiny home communities for homeless families and individuals. Each community includes at least 100 fully equipped homes, offering residents a safe, affordable place to live as they regain their footing.
Phase One:
In our first phase, we are converting a 40,000-square-foot warehouse into a community with 100 tiny homes. Each unit will come move-in ready with appliances and furniture, giving residents a year of rent-free housing. After the first year, rent will be set at 20% of their take-home income, up to $800 per month.
Community Features:
Residents will have access to:
Sustainability:
Our project uses solar and wind energy to power the community, minimizing utility costs. LED lighting and skylights in common areas reduce electricity usage.
Resident Vetting:
We ensure a safe and supportive environment by conducting thorough background checks. Individuals with violent criminal histories or gang involvement will not be admitted. Non-violent offenses will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Nonprofit Partnerships:
We welcome partnerships with nonprofit organizations to provide employment training, life skills workshops, and community support services. By working together, we can help residents build their future and thrive.
Donate:
Your contributions go directly toward building and maintaining our communities. Each donation, whether large or small, helps provide housing, essential services, and a second chance for those in need.
Become a Partner:
Interested in supporting our project? We’re looking for local businesses, sponsors, and partners to contribute resources, job opportunities, and expertise to help our residents succeed.
The Going Forward Project is seeking land with a warehouse-type structure, either donated or available for long-term lease, with payments beginning after 14 months. The ideal property would be within one mile of schools, businesses, and grocery stores to ensure residents have easy access to essential services and employment opportunities.
If the property is raw, undeveloped land, it would require significant investment to develop, which is not ideal at this time. However, if you have undeveloped land to donate, we could sell it and use the proceeds to build at a more suitable location. A mothballed warehouse that requires minimal rehabilitation would be ideal for quickly transforming it into a community space.
If you are interested in partnering with us or have property to offer, please reach out to us at http://goingforwardproject.org.

Project Timeline
The Going Forward Project will provide a reliable, motivated workforce for local businesses. By utilizing the human capital of our residents, nearby employers can benefit from a readily available pool of individuals looking to re-enter the workforce. This creates a symbiotic relationship between the community and local businesses, as we provide training and support to tenants to help them become valuable employees, filling essential roles and contributing to the local economy.
